Chile President: Latin American Recovery May Be Underway
SINGAPORE -(Dow Jones)- Chilean President Michelle Bachelet said Friday that a
recovery may be underway for Latin American economies.
"All the economic data from developed and emerging economies are signalling
ever more strongly that the recovery may be under way and once again the Asian
Pacific economies are leading us to return to positive growing rates," she said.
But she also warned against slipping into complacency, saying that it would
generally be too soon for governments to retract stimulus measures as economies
and financial systems remain fragile.
