Yum Restaurants India Head:To Invest $150 Million In India By 2015NEW DELHI -(Dow Jones)- Yum Restaurants International, a division of U.S.- based fast-food restaurant operator Yum Brands Inc. (YUM), plans to invest $150 million in India to expand the number of its outlets here, the managing director of its local business said Tuesday. The company is looking to have about 1,000 restaurants in about 60 cities in India by 2015, Niren Chaudhary told reporters on the sidelines of the India Economic Summit. Yum Brands operates Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC restaurants. It currently runs about 150 Pizza Hut outlets in 30-35 cities and 60-65 KFCs in 12-15 cities in India. Chaudhary said the company is looking to increase the number of its staff to about 50,000 by 2015 from about 10,000 now. By 2015, the company is targeting $1 billion in sales in India, Chaudhary added. -By R.
