EU Almunia Doesn't Expect Decision On State Aid For Bank Debt
BRUSSELS -(Dow Jones)- European Union finance ministers won't make a final
decision Tuesday on how to end state guarantees for banks' debt, European
Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs Joaquin Almunia said.
"We will discuss this morning how to start the definition of an exit strategy,
" Almunia told journalists on the sidelines of the ministers' monthly meeting. "
This is an open discussion and we will not reach conclusions today."
