Alstom Confirms Firm Bid With Schneider For Areva T&D
PARIS (Dow Jones) -- French engineering company Alstom SA (ALO.FR) Monday
confirmed that it, in partnership with French electric equipment company
Schneider Electric SA (SU.FR), submitted a firm offer for French state-
controlled nuclear company Areva's (CEI.FR) transmission and distribution unit
Areva T&D.
In a statement, the company said it wouldn't make any further comment about
its bid.
