China Government Economist: Should Rely On Domestic Demand XinhuaBEIJING -(Dow Jones)- China should rely on domestic demand instead of the global economy to drive its economic growth, the official Xinhua News Agency quoted Yao Jingyuan, chief economist of the National Bureau of Statistics, as saying over the weekend. The global economy is recovering but still needs more time, Xinhua quoted Yao as saying on a visit to the export-dependent southern province of Guangzhou.
