"The budget balance was passed entirely in line with our original plans, only minor amendments were made in the budget Tuesday," Oszko said at a press conference. The budget's total expenditure is set to be 13.53 billion forint ($71.3 million), while revenues are forecasted at HUF12.66 billion next year. Parts of the budget that required a two-third majority vote were passed by the opposition parties, Oszko added. The budget bill targets a budget deficit of 3.8% of gross domestic product in 2010, in line with Hungary's agreement with the International Monetary Fund and the European Union. The final vote on the 2010 budget bill is expected to take place Nov. 30.
