Indonesia Average Jan-Oct Crude Output 948,677 B/D -OfficialJAKARTA -(Dow Jones)- Indonesia will most likely miss its production target of 960,000 barrels a day of crude oil this year, a government official said Wednesday. Raden Priyono, chairman of the upstream oil and gas regulatory body BP Migas, told reporters that crude oil production during the January-October period was 948,677 barrels a day. The lower-than-expected production was due to various problems such as the theft of a generator from the ONWJ Block off the West Java coast, and a delay in crude production from the Cepu Block, he said. Indonesia's mature oil wells are also facing a 12% decline rate on average this year, which has contributed to the lower-than-target output, Priyono said. -By Deden Sudrajat, contributing to Dow Jones Newswires; 62-21 39831277; I- Made.Sentana@dowjones.com (END) Dow Jones Newswires 11-03-092121ET Copyright (c) 2009 Dow Jones & Company, Inc. |
