ZURICH -(Dow Jones)- Rothschild Private Banking & Trust said Monday it is hiring several executives from rivals in the U.K. and Switzerland, in a bid to bolster its main markets.

Capel-Cure, who previously worked for Deutsche Bank AG (DB), will be a senior portfolio manager, while Stewart, a former UBS AG (UBS) bond fund manager, joins as head of fixed income for Rothschild.

In Zurich, Joe Maersch and Jochen Vogler will join Rothschild from Morgan Stanley (MS) and Deutsche Bank AG (DB), respectively. Including the two private bankers, Rothschild's Swiss advisor team now stands at 16, from 12 one year ago.

"We are continuously hiring highly-qualified employees to strengthen our position in core markets," Veit de Maddalena, Rothschild private bank's Chief Executive, said in a statement.
