Obama To Meet Business Leaders Friday
WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- President Barack Obama will have lunch Friday with a
group of business leaders, part of the White House's effort to reach out to the
business community.
An administration official declined to identify the executives who will be
joining Obama until Friday, but pointed out that the president's economic team
and other officials have held more than two dozen meetings with business
leaders. Last month, Obama had lunch with the CEOs of Honeywell International
Inc. (HON), Coca Cola Co. (KO), Xerox Corp. (XRX) and AT&T Inc. (T).
In an interview this week with BusinessWeek, Obama pushed back on the notion
that his agenda is anti-business and said he would like the corporate tax rate
to be lower. It's unclear what specific issues will be discussed at Friday's
lunch.
