UBS Securities Japan Names Aida As Senior Economist
TOKYO -(Dow Jones)- UBS Securities Japan Ltd. said Wednesday it has named
Takuji Aida, previously a quantitative and macro credit analyst, as senior
economist at its economic research team.
UBS wants to provide its clients with higher-quality analysis on Asia's
biggest economy by taking advantage of Aida's expertise in analyzing credit
markets, which increasingly influence broader economies, the company said.
Aida joined UBS in September 2008, the company said. Beforehand, Aida, who
holds a master of arts degree in economics from the Johns Hopkins University,
worked as chief economist at Brevan Howard Ltd. and Barclays Capital Japan Ltd.,
and as senior economist at Merrill Lynch Japan Securities Co., UBS said.
