Google phone pricing comes under fire

6:09 PM   Honda (HMC) announces it's expanding a recall of certain 2001 and 2002 models by 378,758 vehicles, to replace an airbag inflator. The company says it's aware of 12 incidents to date.

5:52 PM   It sure still seems like weak demand - not tighter standards - is what's behind the consumer credit contraction, says David Altig at the Atlanta Fed's Macroblog. There are two histories pointing the way either to a strong rebound or a painful slog, and one of them's going to get revised.

5:33 PM   The board at Airgas (ARG) rejects Air Products and Chemicals' (APD) hostile $60/share bid with a "Dear John" letter for APD chief John McGlade - which suggests that Air Products will head straight to Airgas shareholders with a tender offer.

5:15 PM   Disney (DIS): Ad rates at ABC TV are up 30% from last summer's upfronts. ESPN ad rates are up in the mid-single-digits. Studio operating income grew 30% on just 1% lower revenue. The company cut costs from a year ago. Shares now +0.7% AH.
