Western Forest To Buy Hampton's Processing Centre In Washington For $9 Mln

(RTTNews.com) - Western Forest Products Inc. (WEF.TO), a Canadian forest products company, announced late Wednesday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire lumber processing and distribution centre in Arlington, Washington from Hampton Lumber Mills-Washington, Inc.

The purchase price of the transaction is approximately $9 million and is anticipated to close in January 2018.

The company noted that the site is ideally suited for Western's central distribution needs with direct rail service and close proximity to the Company's major U.S. markets.
