Wednesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: SPHD

The PowerShares S&P 500 High Dividend Portfolio ETF ( SPHD ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 322,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 47,000. Shares of SPHD were off about 0.7% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Teco Energy ( TE ), trading down about 1.5% with over 15.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and General Electric ( GE ), up about 0.9% on volume of over 11.7 million shares. Pfizer ( PFE ) is the component faring the best Wednesday, up by about 0.9% on the day, while Entergy ( ETR ) is lagging other components of the PowerShares S&P 500 High Dividend Portfolio ETF, trading lower by about 3.5%.
