Wall street climbs on fiscal deal; DJIA at highest since Oct 18

FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - The US major indexes have rallied the first day of 2013 after the US economy has left behind the 'fiscal cliff', propelling the demand for riskier assets. All sectors have posted gains.

The DJIA advanced 308.41 points or 2.35% to close at 13,412.55, the highest level since October 18. The S&P 500 jumped 36.23 pts or 2.54% to 1,462.42, highest since September. And the Nasdaq have climbed 92.75 or 3.07% to finish the day at 3,112.26, highest since October 8.
