Walker & Dunlop Q4 Profit Edges Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews.com) - Walker & Dunlop Inc. ( WD ) reported that its fourth-quarter net income rose to $11.54 million from $11.02million in the same quarter last year. However, on a per share basis, net income declined to $0.34 from $0.50 last year.

Total expenses for the quarter rose to $86.13 million from $29.67 million last year.

Adjusted net income for the quarter was $18.38 million or $0.54 per share, up from $11.02 million or $0.50 per share in the same quarter last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.62 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Gains from mortgage banking activities for the quarter increased to $79.41 million from $33.03 million last year. Servicing fees for the quarter jumped to $19.69 million from $9.06 million in the prior year quarter.

Total revenues for the quarter rose to $105.52 million from $47.59 million in the prior year quarter. Three analysts had consensus revenue estimate of $104.61 million for the quarter.
