VeriSign Q2 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews.com) - VeriSign, Inc. ( VRSN ) reported that its second-quarter net income increased to $100.18 million or $0.71 per share, from $86.89 million or $0.55 per share, last year. Adjusted net income was $95.97 million or $0.68 per share, for the quarter.

On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.64 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue was $250.38 million, compared to $239.33 million, a year ago. Analysts expected revenue of $251.69 million for the quarter.
