By FXstreet.com August 10, 2012, 04:26:00 PM EDT

FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - Stocks on Walls Street again traded with little action for a third straight day on Friday, undermined by disappointing economic data from China and the U.S, which stoked further concern of a global slowdown.

However, the three major indexes managed to close in positive territory. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 42.76 points, or 0.3%, to 13,207.95, finishing up 0.9% for the week and recording a fifth successive week of gains. The S&P 500 added 3.07 points, or 0.2%, to 1,405.87, up 1.1% for the week. The Nasdaq Composite edged up 2.22 points, or 0.1%, to 3,020.86, gaining 1.8% for the week.
