U.S. stocks end mixed, Dow back above 13,000

FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - U.S. stocks mostly climbed Tuesday on upbeat quarterly results from a range of companies, supporting market sentiments on the heels of yesterday's broad-based global risk aversion. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 74.54 points, or 0.6%, to 13,001.71. The S&P 500 index rose 5.04 points, or 0.4%, to 1,371.98. The Nasdaq Composite slid 8.85 points, or 0.3%, to 2,961.60.
