U.S stock futures were nearly unchanged in pre-market trading, following a turbulent couple of weeks amid fears the Federal Reserve will taper its purchasing of bonds to boost the economy. Minutes of the Fed's July 30-31 meeting set to come out Aug. 21 may provide clues as to the timetable for scaling back asset purchasing. No economic data are due out today. Among movers this morning were the Edwards Group ( EVAC ), up over 23%, after Sweden's Atlas Coco agreed to buy the company for $1.6 billion. Also, Supernus Pharmaceuticals' ( SUPN ) got FDA approval for its epilepsy drug and jumped 36%.
