US stock futures were trading marginally higher Monday after having closed at highs on Friday. A slew of companies were reporting quarterly earnings this morning, including McDonald's ( MCD ), down nearly 2% after saying margins will decline and Manpowergroup ( MAN ), adding nearly 7% after comfortably beating analyst estimates.

Later this morning, at 10 a.m., a report is expected to show that existing home sales for September fell 3.3%. While existing home sales have increased by 13% over the past year, they remain almost 25% below the pre-crisis peak.

Tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. the Labor Department will release its September jobs report, delayed from Oct. 4 due to the government shutdown.

Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate crude oil traded below $100 per barrel for the first time since July 3 as stockpiles rose.
