A A A

The second release on April Michigan Sentiment will be released on Friday and should reveal an upward revision in the headline to 83.0 (median 83.0) from 82.6 in the first release and 80.0 in March. This compares to a recent high of 85.1 in July and a low of 55.7 in August 2011.

Other measures of consumer confidence have been mixed for the month with the IBD/TIPP poll rising to 48.0 from 45.1 and the RBC-CASH Index dropping to 50.0 from 51.8. Oil prices should rise in April which would add some pressure to inflation expectations.
