UPDATE: Uranium Energy Corp. Completes 3rd Uranium Sale; Shares Up 4.5% after Teetering Toward Year Low

Uranium Energy Corp. ( UEC ) is up 4.5% at $1.85 on volume of near 550,000 vs. 30-day trading avg of 771,010 trades. Shares hit a day's low of $1.80 this morning, 5 cents from the year low, after announcing it has completed its third uranium sale. A total of 150,000 pounds of U3O8 were sold at $50 per pound for gross proceeds of $7.52 million, bringing total sales for the fiscal year ended July 31, 2012 to 270,000 pounds. With this latest sale, the company will end Fiscal 2012 with total revenue generated from uranium sales of $13.76 million.

UEC shares have lost 44.9% in the last 12 months.
