UPDATE: EV Energy Partners Down 5%, Touches 52-Week Low On Q1 Loss, Missed Estimates

EV Energy Partners ( EVEP ) is down 5.22% to $42.46, and earlier hit a new 52-week low of $39.50. The oil and natural gas company reported a Q1 GAAP loss of $1.08 per share, versus the Capital IQ consensus of $0.21, if comparable. Revenues were $73.7 million, versus the analyst estimate of $81.04 million.

In the prior-year period, the company posted EPS of $0.69 on revenues of $77.73 million.

Production for the quarter was 10.3 Bcf of natural gas, 263 MBbls of crude oil and 503 MBbls of natural gas liquids, or 165.2 Mmcfe/day. This represents a 4% increase from Q1 2012 production of 159.5 Mmcfe/day and a 1% decrease from the Q4 2012 production of 166.3 Mmcfe/day.
