UPDATE: Canadian Solar Appoints New COO; Shrs Down 3% Today, But Jumped 11% Yesterday

Canadian Solar ( CSIQ ) shares are down 3.7%. Earlier the company named

Guangchun Zhang as chief operating officer. He will report directly to chairman and CEO, Dr. Shawn Qu.

CSIQ shares jumped 11% to $3.01 yesterday. The company plans to get almost half its revenue next year from selling solar farms after prices for panels collapsed. The company is developing about 260 megawatts of projects in the Canadian province that it expects to sell for C$1.3 billion ($1.3 billion) over the next 18 months
