United Continental vice chairman adds to holdings

James Compton, the vice chairman at
United Continental Holdings (
, bought 7,800 shares of the company's common stock on Oct. 28.
At $32.12 per share, Compton paid a total of $250,536 to increase
his direct holdings by 8.8%.
The technicals for UAL ($33.14 down $0.77) are bullish with an
upward trend. Recent support has been around $34.01 and recent
resistance has been around $37.83. Standard & Poor's has a
three STARs (out of five) rating on the stock. Look at the Dec.
25/29 bull-put spread for a 20-cent credit. That's a 5.26% return
and the stock has to fall 12.5% to cause a problem.
