Tuesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: VDC

The Vanguard Consumer Staples ETF ( VDC ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 638,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 89,000. Shares of VDC were off about 0.1% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Tuesday were Rite Aid ( RAD ), trading off about 0.9% with over 31.4 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Herbalife ( HLF ), off about 11.1% on volume of over 6.3 million shares. J&J Snack Foods ( JJSF ) is the component faring the best Tuesday, up by about 3.2% on the day.
