Tuesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: SLX

he Market Vectors Steel ETF ( SLX ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 284,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 55,000. Shares of SLX were down about 1.8% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Tuesday were Vale ( VALE ), trading off about 2.9% with over 13.7 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Cliffs Natural Resources ( CLF ), down about 4% on volume of over 6.9 million shares. LB Foster ( FSTR ) is the component faring the best Tuesday, higher by about 1.6% on the day, while AM Castle ( CAS ) is lagging other components of the Market Vectors Steel ETF, trading lower by about 5.9%.
