The TSX is up 23 points this morning, on mainly positive sectors. Industrials are the biggest gainers this morning, up nearly 6%. Miners are the biggest losers, down 1.4%, pulled down by falling commodities prices. Copper has registered the biggest losses this morning, shedding 1.2%.

Canadian annual inflation in June edged up to a 28-month high of 2.4%, exceeding the Bank of Canada's 2% target. Higher prices for shelter, food and transportation were mainly responsible for the hike in the annual inflation rate. Prices for shelter and food both rose by 2.9% from June 2013.
