TSX At 10am -- Down 73 Points On Mostly Negative Sectors; Miners The Biggest Losers

The TSX is down 73 points this morning, to 15142 points. Sectors are overwhelmingly negative, with metals and mining shouldering the heaviest losses, down 1.21%, dragged down by lower commodities pries.

Energy is down 0.8%, with crude oil prices down 0.6% and natural gas down 2.9%.

The sole gainer is info tech, which is up 0.6%.

Canadian building permits shot up by 13.8% in May from April, the fastest rate since July 2013, led by commercial buildings, and industrial and residential structures also registered substantial increases.
