The TSX is flat at 10am, down less than 2 points, to 13502.77. The index fell to 13483.5 earlier. A lacklustre U.S. jobs report, which missed analysts' estimates, the economic weakening in China and emerging markets are also pressuring the market.

Sectors are broadly negative, with mining registering the biggest gains, adding 0.30%. Silver is up 2.15% this morning, along with gold (+0.52%) and copper (+0.25%).

Energy is up 0.19%, boosted by Delphi Energy Corp (DEE.TO), which is the most actively traded on the TSX, with more than 2.74 million shares changing hands.

Telecom is down 0.88%, followed by industrials, down 0.6%
