Toronto's main stock index added an extra 10 points in gains over the final hour to end Monday's trading session up 86 points amid growing positive sentiment about the outlook for the global economy (today based on a strong U.S. manufacturing report) and higher oil and gold prices.

Helping matters, Sino-Forest Corp (TRE.TO) - by far and away the most actively traded stock - found some interest among bargain hunters and rose around $1 to $4.10 over the session. It did, however, close well off a day high of $4.99.

Uranium One (UUU.TO) was another to shine, gaining 34 cents to $3.
