Wal-Mart - Company of the Day

Wal-Mart recently opened its first "Wal-Mart Express", a smaller 15,000 square-foot store. That s a fraction of the size of its Supercenters, which average 185,000 square feet in area. Through these store openings, Wal-Mart aims to compete with Dollar Stores that are increasing their foothold in the United States.

Monster Worldwide - Forecast of the Day

The U.S. non-farm payroll report for May 2011 indicated an effectively unchanged unemployment rate at 9.1% with only 54,000 jobs added. This was the slowest jobs growth in the last eight months and it renewed fears of a U.S. economic slowdown. Monster depends heavily on the employment data and this news caused a sharp drop in its stock price.
