TRC Companies Awarded Engineering Project by Central Maine Power; Shares Slip 1%

TRC Companies Inc. ( TRR ) is down 1.3% at $7.62 in late morning trade. TRR has been awarded a $980,000 contract by Central Maine Power ( CMP ) to provide design and engineering services, project management, construction management, testing and commissioning for the development of the Ludden Lane substation in Canton, Maine. When complete, the substation will connect the Saddleback Mountain wind farm to CMP's transmission grid.

Under the contract, TRR will design all required substation structures, switches, bus/conduit, foundations, grounding, lightning shielding, control house, protection and controls equipment, relay settings and fencing.

The project is expected to be complete in October 2013.

TRR trades in a 52-week range of $3.51 - $8.54. Shares have increased 93% in the last 12 months.
