Thursday's ETF with Unusual Volume: XSD

The SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF ( XSD ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 245,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 25,000. Shares of XSD were off about 1.9% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Micron ( MU ), trading off about 3.1% with over 17.0 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Intel ( INTC ), down about 0.9% on volume of over 14.1 million shares. Cree ( CREE ) is the component faring the best Thursday, higher by about 3.1% on the day, while Freescale Semiconductor ( FSL ) is lagging other components of the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF, trading lower by about 4.9%.
