Thursday's ETF Movers: KRE, GDX

In trading on Thursday, the SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF ( KRE ) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Suntrust Banks ( STI ), up about 2.4% and shares of BancorpSouth ( BXS ), up about 1.9% on the day.

And underperforming other ETFs today is the Gold Miners ETF ( GDX ), down about 2.4% in Thursday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Thursday were shares of Semafo (SMF.CA), lower by about 5%, and shares of Royal Gold ( RGLD ), lower by about 4.4% on the day.
