Conifer Health Solutions, a subsidiary of
Tenet Healthcare Corporation

THC
) intends to provide clinical integration, population health
management and financial risk management services. Conifer will
provide these services to shareholders of all healthcare
companies.
The decision to initiate such services by Conifer was taken to
support the healthcare majors to come up with cost effective and
enhanced healthcare systems. Besides, Conifer also aims at
facilitating patient care and support healthcare reforms through
the programs.
Conifer Health will utilize its expertise, modeling
technology, clinical integration system, and data analytics tools
to identify any fallacies of the system and resolve them. As a
result healthcare providers, payers and self-insured employers
will be able to receive the services at lower costs and deliver
better patient care.
The recent acquisition of InforMed Health Care Solutions in
association with Conifer's capital management systems are also
expected to assist Tenet's subsidiary to overcome the constraints
related to the financial, clinical and qualitative aspects of the
healthcare reform.
Inclusive of the new services, Conifer Health's portfolio will
now consist of programs that deal with patient access, patient
financial services as well as health administration and care
management. The programs also focus on experience of clients who
are shifting from fee-for-service to fee-for-value
healthcare.
Last week, another healthcare company,
Magellan Health Services

MGLN
) announced that its unit Magellan Pharmacy Solutions has
launched a new clinical quality management program. The program
is named Whole Health Rx and is designed to supervise the drug
delivery systems associated with behavioral health and pharmacy
benefits.
Humana Inc.
(
HUM
) also launched new initiatives in Jan 2013 to help people across
the nation to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The programs were named
Humana Walkit Challenge and Humana Walkit Pro.
