Tech Stocks Little Changed; SunPower Shines After Lazard Upgrade, Other Solar Energy Firms Also Gain

CSCO +0.6%

GOOG +0.6%

Technology stocks are little changed this afternoon with the S&P Technology Index falling less than 0.1%.

In company news, SunPower Corporation ( SPWR ) is up 40% after analysts at Lazard upgraded the stock to Buy from Neutral with an $11 price target, one day after the company sold its Antelope Valley solar projects in southern California to Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) for more than $2 billion.

Other solar-tech stocks also are higher today, including DayStar Technologies ( DSTI ); Hanwha SolarOne Co. Ltd ( HSOL ); JA Solar Holdings Co. ( JASO ); LDK Solar Co. Ltd ( LDK ); ReneSola Ltd. (SOL); Suntech Power Holdings Co. (STP); Trina Solar Ltd (TSL); and Yingli Green Energy Holding Co (YGE).
