Online stock brokerage operator TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (
) on Tuesday posted higher fourth quarter earnings despite a
downturn in revenue.
The Omaha, NE-based company reported fourth quarter net income
of $152 million, or 27 cents per share, compared with $145 million,
or 25 cents per share, in the year-ago period.
Revenue edged slightly lower from last year to $653.4
On average, Wall Street analysts expected a smaller profit of 26
cents per share, albeit on higher revenue of $671.5 million.
