) help to restore investor confidence after yesterday's volatile
session. Coupled with a sub-2.60% yield in the Treasury 10 year
note providing an interest-rate friendly environment, the equity
markets are shrugging off recent events within Congress and looking
for extend gains for a third straight day.
European markets are also higher in the wake of a better than
expected increase in China's GDP, retail sales and industrial
production. In addition, encouraging political developments in
Germany drove the DAX to another record high with Chancellor Angela
Merkel closer to forming a coalition government with the Social
