Sector Update: Technology Shares Mixed in Pre-Market; Thomson Reuters Reports Earnings Beat for Q2

Technology shares are mixed in pre-bell trading. Thomson Reuters ( TRI ) reports earnings of $0.48 per share and revenues of $3.2 billion. Those results beat analysts' estimates of $0.45 per share on $3.2 billion revenue. Shares are flat at $35.45.

And Harris Corporation ( HRS ) reported Q4 earnings of $1.41 per share, ex one-time items, compared with the prior-year period's $1.42 per share. Revenues were $1.36 billion, down 5.3% from $1.44 billion in the same quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ were expecting EPS of $1.15 on revenues of $1.31 billion.

The company expects FY14 EPS of $4.65 - $4.85, versus the consensus of $4.69 EPS. Revenues are projected to decline 1% - 3% year over year.

Shares closed at $52.83 with a 52-week range of $41.08 - $53.29.
