Sector Update: Technology Shares Higher Pre-Bell; NetSol up 14% on Earnings

Technology shares are higher in pre-bell trading, while Netflix ( NFLX ) is down 1.6% in early pre-market trade after Morgan Stanley cut its rating on the stock to Equalweight from Overweight.

Also, NetSol ( NTWK ) reports Q4 revenue of $15.1 million, better than the analyst consensus of $13.5 million on Capital IQ. EPS was $0.35, vs. expectations of $0.22 per share. NTWK is up 13.9% at $11.62 in after-hours trade.

Finally, Comverse ( CNSI ) reported a fiscal Q2 loss of $0.77 per share down from a profit of $0.28 the year earlier. Four analysts' estimates for EPS ranged from a loss of $0.14 to a profit of $0.38. Revenue in the quarter totaled $169.8 million, down from $171.2 million the year earlier. That compares to the estimates ranging from $131.0 million to $148.9 million.

CNSI closed up 0.06% yesterday.
