Sector Update: Technology Shares Flat; ViaSat Wins $21.7 Mln Order

Technology shares are flat in pre-bell trading. ViaSat ( VSAT ) says it won a Lot 14 order valued at $21.7 million for Multifunctional Information Distribution System - Low Volume Terminals (MIDS-LVT) for the U.S. Government, Australia, Oman, and Thailand. VSAT shares are flat at $64.61 pre-market.

And Trimble ( TRMB ) said it has won a contract to provide construction grade control and survey systems from the U.S. Marine Corps and Army to provide construction grade control and survey systems.

The contract is a five-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract expected to generate approximately $63 million in revenue over its term, with a maximum not to exceed $99 million. TRMB is flat at $25.20 in pre-market trade.

Finally, Kewaunee Scientific Corporation ( KEQU ), a lightly traded stock, is up 18% at $13.81 after it reports Q1 net earnings of $1.6 million, or $0.61 per diluted share, up from net earnings of $634,000, or $0.25 per diluted share, in Q1 of the prior year.
