Technology shares were generally mixed in pre-market trade Wednesday.

In technology stocks news, CalAmp ( CAMP ) shares were down 14% in pre-market trade after it reported Q1 revenue of $59 million, better than the analyst consensus of $58 million on Capital IQ. EPS was $0.19, vs. expectations of $0.18 per share.

For Q2, the company expects revenue of $57 million to $61 million, below expectations of $62.3 million. EPS is seen at $0.17 to $0.21, vs. expectations of $0.22 per share.

And, Hewlett-Packard Company ( HPQ ) shares were steady at $34.18 pre-market after it said Shell has extended its hardware and services agreement to support Shell (RDS.A) globally for five years.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.

HP said it will deliver more than 150,000 products to Shell, including HP PCs, tablets, peripherals, printers, workstations, servers, storage and networking hardware as well as IT integration and support services.

Finally, Facebook ( FB ) is looking to boost its revenue in India, where there are more than 100 million users, through "missed call" ads, Reuters reported on Wednesday.

Reuters said the social networking company especially created the new type of ad for the world's second-most populous country to allow mobile phone users to click a button that calls a brand advertiser, immediately hangs up and then receives a return call.
