Healthcare shares were generally mixed in late session trade on Friday.

In healthcare stocks news, Gilead Sciences ( GILD ) turned higher after it reported Friday that data from two Phase 2 studies and a compassionate access study showed the efficacy and safety of once-daily Sovaldi (sofosbuvir) 400 mg as treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in patients with advanced liver disease.

Shares were up 1.3% at $66.33, with a 52-week range of $46.70 - $84.88.

And, Mylan ( MYL ) shares were down more than 3% after a federal district judge has granted its request to enforce a settlement agreement between Endo Pharmaceuticals and Mylan, settling patent litigation regarding Mylan's abbreviated new drug application for acute migraine headaches with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
