Financial shares were mixed in pre-market trade Friday, with no major economic reports on tap.

In financial stocks news, Bank of America ( BAC ) executives have requested to talk with U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to resolve differences regarding litigation over mortgage securities, Reuters reported Friday morning. The settlement could reach multi-billions of dollars.

BACshares were down 0.6%, trading in a 52-week range of $12.13 to $18.03.

And, Lloyds Banking Group ( LYG ) has sold more shares than it originally intended in its TSB unit, raising 455 million pounds ($755 million), according to reports.

The bank is selling more than 35% of the unit, rather than the 25% initially planned. The opening price was put at 260 pence, valuing the company at 1.3 billion pounds.
