Financial shares are lower in today's pre-market session in the
second day of a government shutdown as investors start to fear
political gridlock may hurt economic growth.
In stocks news, Radian Group Inc.'s (
) mortgage insurance subsidiary Radian Guaranty Inc. has entered
into a two-year partnership with the National Association of
Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), a housing industry
trade group for Latinos. RDN is up 0.14%.
Under the agreement, Radian will develop a nationwide training
program that educates NAHREP member agents and lenders about
private mortgage insurance through on-demand training, face-to-face
sessions, video and interactive webinars.
And, Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc. (
) is down 1.8% at $30.12 as it announces an underwritten public
offering of shares of its common stock with an aggregate offering
price of $75,000,000. Omega has granted the underwriter a 30-day
option to purchase additional shares with an aggregate offering
price of up to $11,250,000.
Omega expects to use the proceeds for general corporate
purposes, which may include funding the previously announced
pending sale/leaseback transaction for 56 facilities currently
operated by Ark Holding Company, Inc.
