Sector Update: Energy

Energy shares are mixed in pre-market, while crude oil futures are up toward $105 per barrel.

Light, sweet crude oil for September delivery is up $0.11 per share at $105.14 per barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil is up $0.01 at $3.09 a gallon while natural gas is up $0.04 at $3.50 per million British thermal units.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) is up 0.29% at $37.65. The United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) is flat at $18.70.

In other energy news, Exxon Mobile ( XOM ) is selling 35% of its stake in Iraq's West Qurna-1 oilfield to PetroChina ( PTR ) and Pertamina. Exxon, which holds a total 60% stake in the project, will remain the operator.
