Sector Update: Energy Shares Mixed Pre-Market; Crude Oil Sinks Under $99 Per Barrel

Energy shares were mixed in pre-market trade Thursday while crude oil futures were lower.

Light, sweet crude oil for March delivery was down 0.7% at $99.71 per barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil was up 0.03% at $3.01 per gallon while natural gas was up 3.28% at $4.98 per million British thermal units.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was flat at $35.80. The United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) was up 2.3% at $24.30.

In other energy news, PBF Energy Inc. ( PBF ) today reported adjusted income for Q4 2013 was $73.6 million, or $0.76 per share on a fully exchanged, fully diluted basis, as described below, compared to Adjusted Pro Forma Net Income of $165.7 million, or $1.70 per share, for Q4 2012.
