Sector Update: Energy Shares Mixed Pre-Market; Crude Futures Up Toward $97 Per Barrel

Energy shares are mixed in pre-market, while crude oil futures are on the rise.

Light crude oil for December delivery is trading up $0.06 at $96.83 per barrel.

In other energy futures, heating oil is up $0.15 at $2.98 a gallon while natural gas is up 0.61% at $3.64 per million British thermal units.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) is down 0.40% at $34.71. The United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) is down 0.17% at $17.97.

In other energy news, Williams ( WMB ) is up about 5% at $38.75 in pre-market trade, past its previous 52-week high of $38.75. The company reported net income of $0.19 per share, down from $0.25 a year prior. Analyst estimates were for $0.15 per share, according to Capital IQ.
