Energy shares are down in mid-day trading while crude oil
futures falter to trade under $95 a barrel after manufacturing data
disappoints the Street.
Light, sweet crude for September delivery is trading down 1.13%
to $94.69 a barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil is down
0.3% to $3.09 a gallon while natural gas is up 0.41% to $4.16 per
million British thermal units.
In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund (
) is down 1.47% to $36.87. The United States Natural Gas ETF (
) is up 0.48% at $10.55.
In mid-day news, shares of Exterran Partners (
) are firmer after the partnership said late Friday it declared a
cash distribution of $0.4825 per limited partner unit, or $1.93 per
limited partner unit on an annualized basis, payable on Aug. 12 to
unitholders of record at the close of business on Aug. 9.
The distribution to be paid in August is $0.005 higher than the
Q1 distribution of $0.4775 per limited partner unit and $0.02
higher than the Q2 distribution of $0.4625 per limited partner
Exterran Partners is up 1.86%, to $24.14.
Meanwhile, CMS Energy (
) shares are just higher after the company was upgraded to "buy"
from "neutral" at SunTrust based on valuation. The firm has a price
target of $21 on CMS shares.
CMS shares are up 0.78% to $19.29.
